CAMILA FELIX SAID: "I’m tired of being called a victim of society.".

I’ve had it up to here when they confuse our fight with our supposed condition as “poor miserable beings.” I grew up with the idea that black people have to be three times better … and this is what I followed, until I realized that even being three times better, the final judgment is in the hands of someone who believes that my place is not the same as theirs.

They throw the example of one in one million in our face: ah … but look, Joaquim Barbosa [Br. Supreme Court justice] overcame! Look! The guy found books in the garbage and he made it … you also can make it!

I can … because I have equal capacity; what I want is equal conditions! You don’t have to love me … respect, social and historic representation is enough for me. Yep, I’m tired!
