BARRIANNE BROWN SAID: "I’m tired of being treated well only because they realize that I’m a black American."

Barrianne is American. She comes to Brazil 3 or 4 times a year and loves our country. During her various trips here she has noticed different perceptions of her compared to Brazilians. One example of many was during her last visit when she went to the Morumbi shopping mall [Br. mall in an exclusive area]  in São Paulo and felt as if there was something wrong with her with so many weird looks in her direction.  Barri said: “People looked at me in a strange way but after they heard my American accent this changed everything and they started to treat me well. AS IF BLACK BRAZILIANS COULDN’T BE IN THIS SPACE.” It’s always like this and she is very tired of it!
